Royal Rumble 2016 Predictions:
For only the second time in history, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line at the actual Royal Rumble match. The first time was back in 1992, when perennial NWA/WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair, who jumped shipped to the rival WWE, won his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he won the Royal Rumble for the then vacant WWE title. And for the for the first time ever, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in the actual Royal Rumble match. And to make matters worse, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns would actually need to survive 29 other men, because he is the number one entrant in the Rumble. Can he survive the odds? It has been done before. Shawn Michaels won the Royal Rumble as entrant number 1. The man who must not be named won the Royal Rumble as entrant number one. Rey Mysterio won the Royal Rumble won as entrant number 2, which is basically the same as number one. Heck Mr. Mcmahon won the Rumble at #2, but that is a different story. Sometimes, life is like this year’s Royal Rumble. And you are Roman Reigns. Sometimes, you would need to defend what is rightfully yours. It’s everyman for himself. You don’t know whom to trust. Anyone can backstab you. But it doesn’t mean you are going to quit. It doesn’t mean that you will give up. History will be made in the Royal Rumble match, the question is, who will make it?
WWE World Tag Team Championship:
Champions The New Day vs The Usos
Winner: The New Day
The New Day is on a roll, and I don’t see them dropping the belts anytime soon. Perhaps they will drop the belts at Wrestlemania, or maybe even after that. With the Bullet Club approaching, I won’t be surprise if the Bullet Club captures the tag team titles soon.
Divas Championship
Champion Charlotte vs Becky Lynch
Winner: Charlotte
I don’t see Charlotte dropping the belt to Becky at the rumble. I hope that this could be a good match. And Sasha needs to win this belt at Wrestlemania, that would be a true Divas revolution. Or give the belt to Ronda Rousey.
United States Championship
Champion Alberto Del Rio vs Kalisto
Winner: Kalisto
My mind is saying ADR; my heart is saying Kalisto. But I’d pick heart over mind anytime.
Intercontinental Championship match
Last Man Standing Match
Champion Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens
Winner: Dean Ambrose
This should be the match of the night. However they would be too beat up, which would give them the excuse of not winning the rumble. I’m hoping they could make it to the Final Four though.
Royal Rumble Match
Winner: Triple-H
This match is so hard to predict. There is always a possibility of Roman retaining, but that just might turn off the fans. Brock Lesnar is one of the favorites as well, perhaps the favorite among the challengers who are actually officially listed in the match. But I would take the risk here and pick a surprise entrant to win, HHH. An HHH- Roman Reigns match at Wrestlemania is looming. There have been rumors of a Bret Hart-Lex Luger scenario though. But I am actually predicting that Roman would not be in the Final Four, as possibility of the last 10 minutes of the match that we are guaranteed a new champion actually intrigues me. Nevertheless, this should be a fun and interesting Royal Rumble to say the least.
